Back!

Hey Everyone!
I sort of took a long unexpected break from blogger.. =) But I'm back. I had an awesome New Year! My family stayed up until 12:06 am January 1st, 2013!!!! And oh my gosh, who has seen Kiss You? It is the FUNNIEST music video ever!!!

And I love how they have 'sailor clothes', I go to sailing camp every year and I would die laughing if everyone wore those. =) And Niall looks so cute/funny in his skiing outfit.. Which reminds me that I'm going skiing in February! **Whoop Whoop!** Anyway, I hope everyone has had an AWESOME 2013 so far. =D

A Bird!!

I am getting a parakeet, and I'm so excited! I got the cage yesterday, and I will get the bird tomorrow! I have pics of the cage, and I will post pics of the bird when I get it. I'm going to train it to sit on my hand! Isn't that cool? Here are the pics.

I have no idea what I'm going to name my bird, or if it will be a boy or girl until I see it! I'll post more soon!

1. Introduce yourself: who are you? Give me a link to your blog(s) A photo of you?  
   Well, I'm a vegan, and I'm homeschooled. I like cats, birds, and horses. I have three younger sisters and a cat. (here is the rest) Links, just click on the names- The Unsocialized Homeschooler; Project 2012; From Stagefright to Spotlight. My photo is at the bottom of this post.
   
2. What is your favorite color? Why?
   My favorite color is purple not only because it is the color of royalty :-) but also because I think it's a cozy color!
   
3. How old will you be this year? What month and day were you born?
   Well, I don't really want to answer this question because it's personal, but I'll say I'm born on the 9th.
   
4. Do you have an Etsy shop? What do you sell? Can I have a link?
   Um, no. But I might get one when I'm older if my hemp bracelets sell!
   
5. Can you list all the pets you had/have?
   Yikes! Um, before I can remember my parents had a dog and two cats. They are all gone now. Um, I have a cat named Sox, I've had about a million fish! (JK) And I have secretly adopted my grandparents' dogs! (JK!)
   
6. Are you the oldest, youngest, or middle child of your family?
   The oldest and proud of it!
   
7. What is your favorite movie? why?
   Ooh, that's a tough one! I'll say I have a million and one of them is Harry Potter and another is The Muppets! (muh-nohm-u-nohm!)

   Uugh, no way!

   Er, I don't know how many people will feel about this, but EEEEW!

    Cats. And birds. And horses.

    Other than my cat, a horse named Butterscotch and two cats named Adam and Jamie! :-) Scariest... um I don't really pet scary animals, but probably a crazy guinea pig that climbed up my shirt! (On the outside)

    Two rabbits.
    
24. What was a time when you wanted to disappear?
    Lots, but one time was when I snorted while a person was giving a speech! OMG, so embarrassing!

    I have many, but one is in the Amazon rain forest because I really want to hang glide over the forest!!

Orlando!!

Hi Everyone!
I have so much news!! My parents surprised me in December, and we went to Orlando! Here's how it happened:
   I was sleeping when my mom came in with a bag about 3:00 am. She woke me up and told me to get dressed in the the clothes that were in the bag. Then she left. I got the clothes on and went into the hall. After all my sisters were in the hall, my mom did our hair. Then we went down stairs. And to our surprise there was four suit cases! Our initials were on them! After breakfast, we got in the car and went to the airport where we met up with our grandparents! It seemed to take forever to get on the plane, but once we were on it the ride there seemed to take forever! :-P We went to Universal Studios, and we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel!! Two of my favorite rides was The Incredible Hulk and Harry Potter: The Dragon Challenge!!! I also liked:

• The Spider Man Ride
• The Jurassic Park Rides
• Fear Fall
• THE FORBIDDEN JOURNEY!!!!!! (HP) (So cooool!)
• The Hippogryph! (HP)

We had a ton of fun at Universal! There was a pool with an awesome water slide
After four fun-filled days, on Christmas Eve we were packed up, ready to go home, thinking about setting up our Christmas tree. But when we were in the hired car, we noticed that we weren't headed toward the airport, but...............

DISNEY WORLD, ANIMAL KINGDOM!!!!!

 We stayed at the Animal Kingdom from Christmas Eve (24th) to the 27th! We had so much fun! Our favorite restaurant was The Tusker House. The food was great!! My favorite rides there were:

• Expedition Everest
• Hollywood Tower of Terror!!!
• Rockin' Roller Coaster!!! (Aerosmith!)
• Dinosaur
• Epcot Center Ride
• Mission to Mars
• Test Track

All of the parks and places I went during our stay were totally awesome, and I think that you should go to Disney World (or Disney Land) and Universal someday (soon!!;-))

Sleep Away Camp

Dear Readers,
I went to a camp in August, not a sailing camp, but a water-sports camp. I stayed there for a week, but the hurricane (For those of you who do not know about our recent hurricane, the East Coast had a hurricane, Hurricane Irene) came in the middle of camp, and split our week in half.  :-(  Camp was still fun, but we had to stay the weekend at our house.
Things that we did at camp:

• Sail
• Water Ski
• Knee board (I had the time of my life!)
• Go on a huge zipline
• Climb up a rock wall
• Sleep in a cabin

I had a lot of fun, but I probably won't go back in 2012, sadly.

Sailing Camp!

(This was meant to be posted on the sixth. Sorry!)

This week I had sailing camp! It was a lot of fun, and I'm glad I'm going back next week! (I'm already planning how to pay for next summer! ;-) So, that week was Harry Potter week, and we were split into the houses. I was in Gryffindor (Sunfish), and my sisters were in Hufflepuff (Opti). There was another group, Slythenclaw! there wasn't enough people to make the other two houses, so they combined it! They are the Lasers.
Here's what we learned in my group:

• We learned how to rig (set up) a Sunfish, and to de-rig it (take apart.)
• Rules of the Road (or River!)
  The Right-away
  Leeward and Windward
• We had a capsize drill, and I'm glad that we had it!

On Wednesday, there was no wind, so we had contests. We were split into groups, and we had little races.

Hi Everyone-
If you didn't notice, I just put down a new blog photo! My glasses were getting new lenses, so I didn't have them on. I really liked this outfit, so I got my Mom to take a picture of me. I hope you like it!

This Week's Scenario!!

From the title of this post, one might think that I am going to have a CRAZY week! I really don't know!

Monday- Meet grandparents and take water taxi to Fort McHenry.

Tuesday- Zumba, swim team (for my little sisters).

Wednesday- Library (for my little sisters), swim team (for all, I believe :( ).

Thursday- Music Lessons (for all), swim (??)

Friday- Rollerskate.

That is my week, and I don't know if that is ALL we are doing! My Mom hasn't told me everything that we are doing.

Another thing is that my Dad (My Wonderful and Awesome Daddy-o!) is going to Texas for work for a few nights. =( This is the second time he's been to Texas, but the first time he only went for two days. This time he is going a little less than a week.

I have, my sisters and I, have this week off school! Yay!! It is one of our planned weeks. I have no idea what we are going to do, other than what's on the list.

I got new lenses in my glasses. I wanted to keep my frames, because they fit me, and because I like them a lot! My lenses are transition, and to those of you who don't what that means, it means that they turn either gray or brown in the sun. Mine turn gray, and this is my second, in a row, pair of transition glasses. =)

I'm going to get a new blog photo!! I don't know when, but it will be soon!

My New Book List

Some of you might have noticed - I changed my book list. It is the gadget on the left side of my blog, called "Good Reads". I recently changed

• The name
• The books
• How the list works.

I made it so that if you click on a book, it will open a new tab and show you a site that has information about the book. I thought it would be useful if someone wanted to learn more about the book before actually reading it. You never know if you like a book until you either read it, or learn more about it! That's all.
