Hey.

 I just want to put this out here.

I. Love. Michael. Jackson.

No, not like I want to marry him or anything. That would be really weird. And creepy. I don't want to think about that now... He's kind of attractive, but I don't like him in that way. Let me rephrase that.

I. Love. Michael. Jackson's. Amazing. Music.

Now that the awkwardness is cleared up, let me elaborate.

I'm sure some of you people like MJ. Maybe even as much as I do, who knows! Other than you... And I'm sure some of you don't. But that doesn't matter, because I'm talking about me. I hope that doesn't seem conceited or anything. So.. back to music.

I wasn't always a fan. It happened pretty recently, a few months ago. I remember in 2009 when he died. A bunch of kids in my RE group were talking about it. I recall saying that I didn't know if I liked him or not, as I haven't heard many of his songs.

Even now, I haven't heard all of his songs. But I have quite a few albums. Bad 25, Thriller, This Is It, The Essential Michael Jackson, The Definitive Collection... And I'm still working on getting more.

Some of his songs are inspirational and have deep meaning, such as 'Man In The Mirror,' 'Black or White' and 'Price of Fame.'

Other songs are beautiful love songs. They either want to make me cry, or make me feel super happy. Some of those are 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You,' 'Billie Jean,' 'P.Y.T.' and 'The Girl Is Mine.'

There are also some songs that are a mix of romance and partying songs. 'The Way You Make Me Feel,' 'Street Walker' and 'Just Good Friends.'

The party/workout songs are probably my favorite, though. 'Bad' and all of the remixes, 'Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough,' 'Speed Demon,' 'Thriller,' 'Smooth Criminal,' 'Al Capone' and 'Another Part of Me.'

There are tons of other songs by him that I haven't listed. I have all of those songs and more. But MJ has tons of songs that I haven't heard yet.

I hope I'm not creeping you guys out with my obsession.

Anyway, I hope you guys go and listen to Michael Jackson sometime, he's really amazing. If you can't figure out anything good to listen to, just send me an email or leave a comment. I'd love to help you out!

1) Do you like math? Not really. It's not the worst subject ever, but it's not the best. (IMO)
2) If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Hmm... I would like to go to so many places, I couldn't choose just one. Here's two- Hawaii and Sydney.

4) How do you overcome writers block? Well, I sit and think. And I write in a journal. Not actual stories, I just write about my life. Sometimes I let the story sit for a while and just plain out forget about it (not forget forget, just not have it on my mind). I do this ['forget' about it] so my mind isn't overwhelmed with just that one thing. Then I [usually] get a really good idea for it at a random time and write it down. =)
5) If you could have one superpower, what would you have? Shape shifter. That way I could be anything.
6) What was the longest book you ever read? Write the page number if you know it. Bleh, I have no idea! The Harry Potter and Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus are really long and I've read all of those.
7) What is your favorite genre of fiction novels? Fantasy!!!

Okay, so everyone else on Blogger has something for a certain day. Like, someone posts pictures or a story or something. But I don't! I know, I need to get with the program! So I'm going to try to do something on Wednesday. Scratch that. I already know what I'm going to do. CAPTIONS!! OMG, love those things! Oh, and a quick announcement... I got a new laptop!! Yay! My old one broke a few months ago, so I had to use the desktops. But my Opa (German for grandfather) bought me one! It came on Monday as an early Christmas present. I guess he wanted me to enjoy it before the world ends! LOL, just kidding. The world is NOT going to end! I'm going to be coming back from an AWESOME vacation skiing and staying at a cabin. (Sorry Daylily, I can't go to your 'end of world sleepover'. =( )

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I looked up some facts about Thanksgiving that some of you might or might not know.

• They do not have an equivalent celebration in the UK. In the words of Erin Hunter/Vicky: "Happy Thanksgiving to my American Clanmates! We don't have an equivalent celebration here in the UK, which always seems a shame to me. I envy your pre-Christmas feasting and family get-together; plus, I love pumpkin pie and that's as rare as...a gentle word from Yellowfang?...around here."
  
•  We would NOT have Thanksgiving if it wasn't for a woman named Sarah Hale. People started ignoring Thanksgiving, and in the West (oh, this is during the Civil War time) they didn't even know what it was. =( Sarah wrote lots of letters and asked people for help to make Thanksgiving a national holiday! She also wrote the nursery rhyme, "Mary Has A Little Lamb," not that you needed to know. =)

• In 1939, President Roosevelt proclaimed that Thanksgiving would take place on November 23rd, not November 30th, as a way to spur economic growth and extend the Christmas shopping season. =) via
